Join the Scottish SPCA's new scheme to encourage everyone to buy responsibly
Do you breed puppies in Scotland and want to become a ‘Scottish SPCA Assured Puppy Breeder’?
The scheme, coming soon, is a free and voluntary application for breeders licensed by their local authority.
Breeders will be required to demonstrate that they meet the Scottish SPCA’s assured breeder scheme criteria.
Scottish SPCA inspectors will assess any applications and visit breeding premises annually to ensure high animal welfare standards are being met.
The ‘assured puppy breeder’ scheme is being piloted by the Scottish SPCA in Scotland and is not currently available in the rest of the UK.
Details on how to apply will be available soon.
